Situated at the head of the North Pennines, and only a 20 minute drive from Hexham, is Allendale, Northumberland. The whole village, and in particular the local cafe Allendale Tea Rooms, retains the charm of the Victorian era.
The cafe can seat 42 people in two rooms and offers a smoke free and relaxed environment. Even compared to the market town of Hexham you will find that the cafe and Allendale has a calm and unhurried atmosphere.
No visit to the Hexham area is complete without a coffee or lunch at the cafe. All the food offered to the customers of the cafe is freshly cooked by the husband and wife team of Terry & Susan Bayfield who pride themselves on making visitors to their cafe welcome.
The cafe is open:
Mon - Sat 9am - 5pm
Sun & Bank Holidays 11am - 5pm.
Lovely Sunday Lunches
