Housebound granny becomes tech-savvy nanny

A housebound grandmother is to start a web design business after being named E-Learner of the Year at Park Lane College in Leeds.
Jayne Duffield has been housebound for almost 20 years after spine surgery went wrong, but despite being bedridden she completed a Level 1 NCFE Certificate for IT Users.
She then went on to complete the Level 2 qualification despite illness, all while using a laptop from her bed.
Having left school with no qualifications, it was in 2004 the grandmother took it upon herself to turn her life around and is now in a position to start her own web design business from her home.
Ms Duffield told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "I've got all the basic office skills now. Being housebound, it's very difficult to do anything.
"Working on computers is the only thing I can do from home and I can use the laptop any time of day or night."
She even claims to be able to tell her tech-savvy daughter what's wrong with her computer, despite having spent years bemused by her techno-babble.
