Recruitment agents to consider new technology

Recruitment agents could be helped to simplify client and job matching by increasing the use of new CV software.
Developments in software has helped to ensure that CV-matching programs are now quicker and more accurate, claims Alison Rutherford, senior account executive at Vurv Technology, reports Recruiter Magazine.
Ms Rutherford added: "The technology used to be so slow that I used to be able to drive somewhere to drop off a CV for a client quicker than the system could process it."
The new advanced CV matching technology is capable of quickly searching for a list of specific skills as well as assessing the language and experience of applicants against a set job description. In addition, the new software could help to improve the online services currently provided by recruitment agencies, with automatic matching of CVs helping to narrow down the search for the perfect candidate within minutes rather than days.
Leading jobs website Fish4jobs is already planning to launch a web-based service in January that will enable recruiters to search a number of online CVs, select the most suitable applicants for any position and then email the top ten matching CVs to the appropriate recruitment agents.
