Letting agents to watch for drug den tenants

Letting agents and landlords have been warned to keep an eye on their tenants, after police unearthed another cannabis factory in Watford.
One landlord was left deeply shocked after police raided one of his properties on Monday and found that the tenants had converted the five-bedroom house into a hi-tech cannabis farm.
According to one sergeant who took part in the raid, the crop of drugs had a value of around £200,000.
The landlord, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Watford Observer: "It was a very big shock.
"It felt like the world had been removed from beneath my feet. To think it could have caught fire at any time, endangering neighbours' lives."
He advised other landlords and letting agents to make sure they are aware of what's going on in their properties or risk getting caught out like he was.
Watford police have raided seven properties in the last two months giving letting agents even more reason to keep an eye on their properties.
