Letting agents dominating property investments

Letting agents are seen as the best way to make money from property in today's market, according to a new report.
The study, commissioned by the Property Investor Show, has found that 39 per cent of investors are relying on buy to let investments to generate future wealth.
Traditional methods of investment have fallen by the wayside with 73 per cent of those polled opting to invest in buy to let property compared to just 3.5 per cent who said they would use spare cash on home improvements.
Nick Clark, managing director of Homebuyer Events, said: "Typically, homeowners have opted to add to their nest egg by improving and extending their property.
"However, buy to let has become a lot more popular and feasible option. Buy to let investment is now far more accessible for novice investors and as there remains high tenant demand alongside good rental yields in the UK and overseas, it is set to continue to be a favoured option."
According to the survey, this change in proper investment is very good news for letting agents as more properties come on the market and more homeowners look to tenants to generate their nest egg.
