Hotels on the Isle of Man will be hoping for a booming trade this October when tourists visit the island to take part in the second walking festival.
Visitors will be coming to the area in October as this is when the Manx national glens are at their finest and they will be able to take in the dramatic coastlines and natural beauty for themselves.
Running from October 13th to 15th, the festival will be based in Port Erin, an area renowned for its natural beauty and with fantastic views over the south of the island.
Mick Salmon, the festival coordinator, said: "A lot of people said they would like to see the island at a different time of year and it was felt this might also appeal to a different market as it would provide a weekend break and not necessitate people taking much time off work."
As well as walks suitable for amateur strollers right through to hikes for professional walkers, there will be a host of social events including a ghost walk around a secluded castle.
