Salon gets a makeover

A hairdresser from Bishop's Stortford has started afresh in a bid to break away from the old with a new look.
John Ripshaw and Ben Jack have just opened the newly refurbished Harpers Hair at Great Hadham Golf Club to give consumers in the area a new environment in which to be styled.
Rebranded in pink and brown, Harpers Hair represents an abrupt change from Brookes hairdressers on Bishop's Stortford's high street. Mr Ripshaw had been running Brookes for the last five years after spending the previous ten as a partner.
But now he has a whole new salon with new partner Mr Jack and hopes to attract customers from all over the area.
Mr Ripshaw told the Herts & Essex News: "We've got a lovely spacious salon with parking right on the doorstep.
"And we're five minutes from Bishop's Stortford - less for clients who live on St Michael's Mead or Thorley Park."
In addition to the new facilities and the copious amounts of parking, Harpers Hair also has a licence so customers can enjoy a drink while they are crimped.
