Local stores enter festive competition

Florists, hairdressers, jewellers, clothes stores and charity shops are taking part in a competition to find the best shop from in Huddersfield.
Some 25 stores in the town centre are joining in the contest with Christmas shoppers voting for the best window display.
The theme, as can be expected, is the festive season and already snow scenes and trees are decorating local shops.
Forms have been made available for those who wish to vote in the competition which will see the winner receiving a £50 gift voucher and £100 to donate to a charity of their choice.
Organisers of the event, the winner of which will be announced on December 13th, say window displays would be judged on a range of factors.
Among other things, the visual impact, creativity and artistic merit of the shop fronts will be considered by judges
