A hairdresser from a village just south of Manchester has recently arrived back from India where his long standing client flew him out to style a family wedding.
Wilmslow-based Stephen Peel, who runs a hair and beauty salon at the Holiday Inn, was shocked when his client VJ Trehan invited him to the three-day ceremony in Delhi.
The hairdresser, who has been styling the Trehan family's locks for more than eight years, says he has "never experienced hospitality like it" and was welcomed as a member of the family.
Mr Peel told the Wilmslow Express: "VJ invited me to stay for ten days so I could see all the wedding celebrations but Christmas is my busiest time of year and I didn't feel it would be fair to let my clients down.
"I went for three days and it was absolutely amazing. He had arranged for me to be met by a chauffeur driven car at the airport and stay with family friends in Delhi for a few hours before getting the train up to Chandria for the wedding, which was near the Pakistani border."
