FC Bayern players get the chop

FC Bayern Munich manager Felix Magath has said he wants his players to take that all important trip to the hairdressers and get their locks trimmed.
Although he insists he "will not force them" he has told reporters that he hopes his long-haired players with get their hair chopped off as he believes they will be taken more seriously by other players.
The German-Puerto Rican manager told the German paper Bild that the players should take a leaf out of the book of former FC Bayern star Michael Ballack.
According to Magath, who himself was a former football hero, Ballack's haircut shows "authority" and if his team followed suit, they would have more chance of scoring.
Players which Magath was no doubt referring to were FC Bayern's Claudio Pizarro, Daniel van Buyten, Hasan Salihamidzic and Martin Demichelis, who all sport long tresses.
Magath told the newspaper: "Ballack's haircut shows authority, commitment, belief and agressiveness. It's a sign that the player wants to do more for his club than just play football.
"I would like to see them visit a barber but I won't force them, they should take the step."
