Crazy hair day in the lab

Hairdressers will be warming their straightening irons and sharpening their scissors at the prospect of getting their hands on a group of hair-loving scientists.
The Luxuriant Flowing Hair Club for Scientists, or LFHCfS for short, was started five years ago by Marc and Robin Abrahams, who run a satirical science journal online.
Ms Abrahams had the idea for the club when she was guest editor of a psychology journal and insisted that the phrase "luxuriant flowing hair" be included in every article.
From there she had the idea of building a club for scientists who have long avoided the hairdresser's chair, with flowing manes often associated with the scientific community.
Now the club has hundreds of members from around the world who boast some, quite frankly, impressive hairstyles.
Ranging from men filtering vodka in their living rooms to German biochemists, the club is an eclectic mix of the eccentric to the outright weird, but one any hairdresser worth their salt would love to get their hands on.
