A Birmingham mum who runs a mobile hairdressing firm has been invited to join Hollywood's 'stylists to the stars' training academy.
Marie Butler has been accepted into the unique college and will get tips from Lisha Coleman, who has looked out for the locks of a number of A-list stars including Naomi Campbell and Gwyneth Paltrow.
The 31-year-old, who runs WOW Hair Extension Consultancy, will head to Los Angeles in January and among other things, will be taught the latest in hair extension technique.
She told the Birmingham Mail: "I can't wait to get over there and meet Lisha as she is the best in the business
"Last time I was in America on a training course I met Donald Trump who was really nice. But being around Lisha for a few weeks I am sure I will see more celebrities."
She added that she hoped that by learning the latest in hairstyling she would be "bringing a bit of Hollywood back to Birmingham".
Ms Butler says that she not only plans to use the techniques herself but hopes to pass on the tips she learns on her trip to the US to budding hairdressers.
