Florist creates blooming car

One of Britain's most famous florists has teamed up with Chevrolet to create a car covered entirely in yellow flowers.
Paula Pryke, who has served the likes of Ewan McGregor, Julia Roberts and Kate Winslet, used thousands of yellow Gerberas to design the limited edition Chevrolet Matiz which will be revealed at the British Motor Show on July 21st.
The project began after a survey conducted by General Motors revealed that one in three women chose style and colour over performance when buying a new car.
Ms Pryke, who owns florists across London, said: "When it comes to buying a car women will often pick one that is not just practical but also makes a personal statement about them.
"Hopefully the Car in Bloom will appeal to women up and down the country and bring a much needed touch of femininity to a traditionally masculine subject."
Collette Dunkley of Chevrolet said: "With a rapidly growing female car-buying market we're interested in finding what factors influence women's car choice.
"Women have told us that style and colour are key determinants as, like fashion choices, a car is an expression of a woman's personality."
