A florist who has created posies for the rich and famous has been named one of the best in the country, it has been reported.
The Lancashire Evening Post said that flower arranger Margaret Mason was in the top five best florists in the September edition of Brides magazine.
The publication praises the 70-year-old Ms Mason for her "flamboyant arrangements".
In 1961, Ms Mason opened her Friargate shop which now caters for celebrities and politicians across the UK including top footballers from local team Manchester United. She even met former US president Bill Clinton at one event.
The modest florist told the paper that it wasn't just her hard work that had got the firm to the top: "To put us in five of the best florists is really quite a feather in our cap.
"It's really an exciting time. I have a super team, they have been with me a long time."
