Accountants merge in Bath

Two sets of accountants have merged to form one business, according to reports.
Monahans in Swindon has joined forces with Bath's Shaw & Co to offer both of their sets of clients a more professional and succinct service.
As part of the deal to merge the two sets of accountants, Shaw & Co's office will become Monahans' new Bath office.
David Scott, a partner at Shaw & Co, told the Swindon Advertiser: "By becoming a part of the Monahans Group, we will be able to offer a broader range of services to our clients and therefore continue to help our clients meet their financial objectives in a future which is becoming ever more complex."
Shaw & Co was started in 1978 and has grown to become a well respected accountancy firm in the town with 11 accountants on its payroll.
Alongside Monahans taking over Shaw & Co's offices, two of the firm's specialist partners will be moving to Bath to help head-up the new operation.
