Sustainable products directory for small businesses

A new reference source for the UK SME community has been launched by Turret Group.
The Green Business Buyers Guide will be distributed to small businesses in the UK for them to find details of ethical, ecological and sustainable products available to them.
Barbara Williams, the editor, commented: "With many companies looking to reduce their carbon footprint, we are launching this Buyers guide as many small companies are confused about products and services - particularly recycling and waste disposal."
Products and services listed in the directory include building maintenance, cleaning and maintenance products, energy efficient office equipment, food and beverage supplies, greener and cleaner utilities, recycling services, stationary and marketing suppliers, transport, utilities and waste management services.
Turret Group aims to "help businesses make informed buying decision".
"The drive to reduce emissions and become 'green' is often seen as a big expense, but our research shows that many office products are, in fact already 'green' but customers are just unaware when making buying decisions," Ms Williams added.
The guide will be published in summer 2008 and entries are being compiled now. Companies willing to have their products or services listed in the directory can contact the editor for an editorial entry form.
