A small technology firm in the north-east has won a contract to deliver product design services to the healthcare sector within the region.
Kinneir Dufort Design has been brought into the InSTep programme (Integrated Services Training and Products) which is involved in developing products and services for healthcare providers and currently funds around 80 per cent of a project's cost.
Commenting on the deal, which is reported to be worth £1.2 million, Ian Jobling, Kinneir Dufort (North East) senior consultant, said: "Being awarded this contract is great news for our team here at KD. We came to the North East back in July 2006 and we have never looked back
"It’s exciting to see many smaller technology companies being given the financial support truly needed at the beginning of a design process.
"We are now looking to strengthen our team here in the north east through the creation of two new jobs in product design and telemarketing."
