ScanDisk protecting data in small businesses

Two new USB flash drives have been launched by Flash Disc to benefit businesses.
Cruzer Professional offers basic protection for presentations, files, documents or videos to SMEs and one-person companies
ScanDisk explained: "The low-end USB flash drive enables end users to construct a password-protected 'privacy zone' that can occupy any amount of its total capacity."
USB flash drivers provided by the group can plug into any standard computer system.
They feature 256-bit encryption and are password protected.
However, any one in the company can access data outside the protected zone.
For bigger organisations, or those requiring higher IT security, the company proposes Cruzer Enterprise, a device providing mandatory password-protection for all stored data.
In related news, the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) is considering a pan-European IT security system for SMEs at a conference in Berlin this week.
