Cumbrian businesswomen meet Swedish counterparts

Businesswomen from Furness swapped ideas with their Swedish counterparts recently through an international entrepreneurs programme.
The Interig IIC Tower Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs project brought together 36 delegates from the country with local businesswomen for workshops, lectures and activities around Cumbria.
Vicky Hurst of Furness Enterprise which organised the visit told the North-West Evening Mail: "The project was established in order to encourage long-term cooperation and mutual learning between entrepreneurs."
She added that the workshops and activities had helped to "boost entrepreneurial spirit" and develop partnerships "at home and abroad".
During the visit the group toured LMB Designs' interior design showroom, design studio and gift shop and gallery space, as well as Ascet HR Solutions which offers human resources support and advice to small businesses.
