A pensioner has criticised builder's firm Wimpey as well as Scottish Borders Council for not admitting fault at the dangerous state of a road near her home.
Laurie Macaskill says she is forced to use the A1107 between her property near Eyemouth and Coldingham and as a result, her car has suffered damages due to what she believes is the poor condition of the road.
She complained to her local council after being hit with a bill for £190 but claims they said the road was Wimpey's responsibility.
Ms Macaskill told Berwickshire Today: "I had to get four new tyres and in over 60 years of driving I have never ever had to have more than one tyre changed at a time."
"The garage said the state of the road was the cause of the problems but when I got in touch with the council they said it was Wimpey's responsiblity."
