Immigration officers bust builders

Illegal immigrants working as builders have been arrested at the Golden Square site in Crewe this week.
Around 40 immigration officers carried out dawn raids and took 16 workers away to be questioned.
John Doyle Construction, which is carrying out work on the Golden Square site, confirmed that 11 of the builders that had been arrested were working for one of its subcontractors.
And a Home Office spokesperson confirmed: "There was an immigration intelligence operation that was intelligence led.
"Sixteen immigration related arrests were made. That was consistent with the Home Office strategy of targeting illegal workers, failed asylum seekers and other immigration offenders."
News of the immigration raid has angered other workers on the site who claim that local builders have been overlooked for work in favour of unqualified immigrants.
One told the Warrington News: "There is unrest on the site because you don't know who they are - they could be terrorists or anything."
