A team of builders has handed over material which will be used to refurbish a community centre in Portsmouth.
The generous tradesmen were asked by the Hermitage Housing Association to give the Portsmouth Friendship Centre a facelift and they willingly obliged.
Builders from Rok construction firm arrived at the centre armed with paint pots and a group of enthusiastic volunteers set about giving the building a much-needed revamp.
Den Barry from the Friendship Centre told Portsmouth.co.uk: "We have paint brushes at the ready and we can now make a start on the improvements.
"The residents are all very excited about the work and they are looking forward to having a new and improved centre to enjoy."
Emmie Pritchett-Brown, customer leader for Rok, added that the firm had been "delighted" to help out and that the builders wanted to create a welcoming venue for local residents.
