Plug the Gap
Hitchin-based company Plug the Gap are experts in database marketing and a leading provider of fundraising solutions, data information services and database services in the Hertfordshire area.
I have worked with Julie for the past 5 or 6 years in a number of different ways. While I was Manager of the Marketing Analysis team at the RSPB (2005-2014) I employed her to do several projects for the RSPB. This included an RFV analysis of our appeal donors, a review of all our email fundraising and the design and build of a database for testing new prompt levels in our fundraising mailings. Julie was great to work with, very collaborative and innovative and as well as delivering great projects I learnt a lot while working with her.
I first met Julie through our involvement with the Institute of Fundraising 'Insight in Fundraising' group. We were both committee members at the same time, and Julie led on providing training in analysis, Excel and Access. Her training courses were always really well received and she ran a bespoke course on Excel for a team at the RSPB.
I am now working in a small digital and research agency with my husband based in Bedford and we are collaborating with Julie on projects within the charity sector. We have been working together for the past 6 months or so.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Julie, she has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to data, both on the analysis and data management / cleaning side. She is very conscientious and always wants to provide something useful for her clients that delivers real value to the organisation.
