Children Across Haverhill Have The Opportunity To Grow Their Own Beanstalk...


	Hi Even though they are just a few weeks away, we’re starting to see more and more events popping up for Halloween and Bonfire Night and you can find out more about these events by visiting thebestof Haverhill website. Christmas is also being mentioned a little more now too and as the nights draw in, with the pending celebration afoot, we cannot get downhearted can we? Here’s some exciting news, children have the opportunity to grow their own beanstalk and the winner will receive a free family ticket to the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime in a competition that runs until the 7th December 2014. The Haverhill Arts Centre and Sturmer Nurseries are working together to launch the beanstalk growing competition where budding gardeners can collect their bean from Sturmer Nurseries from Saturday October 25th. The children will have until 6th December to preset their beanstalks to the Arts Centre or 7th December for Stumer Nurseries. The boy and girl with the tallest entries will each win a family ticket to see the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime! Go along to Bury St Edmunds market this Saturday 18th October between mid day and 3pm on National Apple Day and learn how to juice apples and make cider, taste the different varieties available and how to cook the perfect apple pie. Children can take part in apple peeling competitions, storytelling and a special ‘apple and spoon’ race. Traditional folk music and Morris dancing will provide entertainment throughout the day. One Haverhill's Public Forum will take place on Wednesday 22nd October at Samuel Ward Academy from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Everyone is welcome so One Haverhill looks forward to seeing you there!
