Warm Weather Whooshes Towards Bonfire Night


	Hi We’re only a night away from Halloween and less than a week away from Bonfire Night and the amazing thing is we haven’t had to bring out the scarves, hats or gloves yet. The weather is usually bitterly cold during this week of festivities, but it’s fabulously warm for this time of year. There’s a Children’s Clothes & Toys Exchange this Saturday 1st November from 10am until 1pm at Cosby Community Church (next to the Co-op). There will also be coffee, cake and bacon sandwiches available too. Volunteers are needed to help clean up ‘grot spots’ around Lutterworth this Saturday 1st November between 10am and 12pm mid day. Equipment and refreshments will be provided, but do wear suitable clothes. Meet at the Town Council Offices on Coventry Road at 10am this Saturday morning. The Chequers, Swinford is hosting its annual firework display this Saturday 1st November starting at 6.30pm with a 7pm Lift Off and there’s food available as well. The event includes a prize for Best Guy Fawkes alongside the fireworks. Admission for adults is £3.50, children (Under16) £2.50 or family entry (2x2) is just £10.00. Lutterworth Golf Club’s Bonfire Night promises to be BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER. It takes place this Sunday 2nd November with professional fireworks by Celestial Firework Displays. Gates open at 5pm, the bonfire lighting is at 5.30pm and fireworks start at 6pm. There’s also Children's entertainment, Hot Food, Drinks and a Bar Available. Ticket prices are £3 (pre-paid) or £5 (At the Gate), but under 5's are FREE. Your community hub for thebestof everything local. thebestof
