I guess we may have just had our last barbeques for this year now and some of our final barbeques probably took place last weekend, but the weather is outstandingly warm for this time of year. October has certainly come around quickly and due to the warmer weather, it doesn’t feel like it is meant to be here at all.

Everyone is welcome for a great night out tonight at Lutterworth Club charity meat bingo, where you can buy tickets from 7:30 and its eyes down at 8pm. This is a monthly charity meat bingo with eight houses, two flyers and a meat raffle. This year's nominated charity is Air Ambulance.

This Saturday 4th October there’s a Children's clothes and toy exchange taking place at Cosby Community Church from 10am to 1pm. As well as your chance to browse the various stalls, there will also be coffee, cake and bacon sandwiches available.

Husbands Bosworth Conker and Welly Wanging Championship is a small outdoor festival generally attracting between 2/300 people depending on weather conditions takes place this Sunday from 10.30am until around about 3pm. The event supports a different charity each year and organisers are hoping to send donations to The Rainbows Children's Hospice and The Alzheimer's Society this year in addition to supporting various village amenities.
