Hi We’re only a night away from Halloween and less than a week away from Bonfire Night and the amazing thing is we haven’t had to bring out the scarves, hats or gloves yet. The weather is usually bitterly cold during this week of festivities, but it’s fabulously warm for this time of year. Wilbarston Village Hall presents a Bonfire & Firework Display to Music this Saturday 1st November starting at 6.30pm. There will be hot food, drinks and a raffle and there’s strictly NO PERSONAL FIREWORKS ALLOWED. Harborough community big band, Brass Wind and Fire invites you to enjoy a fun evening of Big Band music with a distinctly Halloween theme this Saturday 1st November at the Jubilee Hall, Great Bowden, Market Harborough. The band is made up of saxophones, trumpets, trombones and a rhythm section and it will be joined by its vocal group ‘The Elements’ for an evening of traditional and modern big band music with a Halloween flavour to dance to or simply to settle back and enjoy. Foxton Fireworks and Bonfire Display’s 14th annual charity event takes place on Wednesday 5th November at The Shoulder of Mutton, Foxton. The Bonfire will be lit at 7pm and all proceeds from the event will be going to Gumley Cricket Club, Foxton Scouts and Foxton Tennis Club. Tickets only available on the night at a cost of £4.50 for adults and children of school age £2.50. There will also be Chinese food available too. Your community hub for thebestof everything local.
