The Springhouse Sports Club & Function Suites

The Springhouse, originally The Shell Club and associated with the nearby refinery, has been serving the local Thurrock community for over 60 years as a sports club, function venue, wedding venue and carvery restaurant.

We visit the Springhouse three times a week, twice at lunchtime for a meal which is always well prepared and presented. We also visit Friday or Saturday evening when the entertainment is also good. The Management are always helpful and acceptance of any constructive help or criticism.

Barehams Boarding and Daycare Centre

Established in Thurrock for over 50 years, Barehams can claim to be among the best boarding kennels and catteries in the area, employing long-serving dedicated team whose love of dogs and cats is evident in their approach to handling the animals every day.

My nervous staffie (afraid of all dogs) spent a few days at Barehams and was very happy and contented when he came home and spent another night on New Years Eve and had no problems with him leaving us and was OK when we collected him next day we have booked him in for a week in March with playtime so it looks like I will have a relaxing weeks holiday
