Brighton for Peace festival, taking place on Sunday 17th of August by the seafront, will bring together many artists, musicians and businesses from the community in a joyous non-political celebration of awesome live music, circus performance, cabaret, film, arts, delicious food and silly dancing. Tickets are suggested at £5 or a donate what you want basis. All money raised will go directly to the Red Crescent and Médecins Sans Frontières for their humanitarian work in Gaza and Israel. Meet at the Brighton Peace Sculpture at 12pm for a march for peace to the Concorde 2, where remainder activities will take place till late.
Brunswick Festival is one of the longest running festivals in the city, and this year celebrates its 33rd year. Enjoy a lazy weekend of live music, dance, street theatre, circus skills, healing area, arts crafts and bric-a-brac stalls, world food, tea and cakes and a beer tent too… free fun and entertainment for all the family! At Brunswick Square all day Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th.
Guerrilla Fashion Brighton III is this Friday 15th, 7pm at the Emporium on London Road, and is Brighton's premier exhibition for undiscovered talent and the hottest designers in the city, raising funds for local charities. For their third event they have chosen "Up With Liberty, Down With Chains", as their theme - one that "reflects our desire to inspire people to reassess their ideas of what fashion is and what fashion CAN be." Entry by donations.
