Our highlights for this coming week..
Family friendly free event, March of the Mermaids, is about celebrating the sea, mermaids and sea creatures and another excuse for locals to have fun in spectacular costumes whilst raising awareness of marine conservation and the protection of our seas. The fishy lot will meet at Hove Lawns (at the Peace Statue) at 14.00 before parading along the seafront. There is an after party at Above Audio from 16.00 until 20.00, with live music, performances and DJ's.
Brighton Yoga Festival is a one day free festival in the heart of Kemptown on Saturday 26th July, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, at St. George’s Church. Join the community for free yoga workshops and related activities and in raising money for local charities. In addition to workshops there will be creative stalls, a cafe, exciting yoga demonstrations, live music and arts.
Scooby Doo and the gang are back in town by popular demand with even more spooky mystery and fun in their brand new stage show, Scooby Doo – The Mystery Of The Pyramid at Theatre Royal Brighton from Tue 29 Jul –Sat 2 Aug.
For country pursuits just out of town, there is the annual Ringmer Steam & Country Show on Saturday/Sunday. Gates open 10-5pm. Tickets £8, children £5 with family and senior citizen discounts.
