The hot weather conjures up thoughts of ice cream, swimming pools, holidays, BBQs and definitely the seaside. Well, not too far away is Market Harborough by the Sea, which for 2014 runs from a week on Saturday (2nd) to Wednesday 6th August with a whole host of events surrounding The Square, including giant sandpits and deck chairs. Organisers are urgently looking for community groups or not-for-profit organisations to host stalls on The Square during the event.

Tomorrow night from 7.30pm Music at Dingley presents the City of London Chamber Orchestra. There will be a hog roast (starting at 6pm) or concertgoers are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the beautiful grounds of Dingley Hall.

Kelmarsh Hall's Painting in the Garden workshops offer artists of all abilities the chance to improve their skills, using the beautiful gardens at Kelmarsh as inspiration. The next Painting in the Garden sessions take place next Thursday 31st July at 11am to 12 noon and 1pm to 2pm.
