Established in 1921 we are a family run traditional garden centre and nursery business situated just a few miles from Newcastle
Our aim:
To offer all our customers top quality beautiful plants, backed up by expert advice and friendly service from our knowledgeable staff - some of whom have been with us for over 25 years!!
Halls of Heddon have two garden centres and nurseries.
Heddon on the Wall garden centre can be found just 1mile from the village of Heddon. (10 minutes west of Newcastle on the A69).

Our garden centre and nursery also sells a great range of composts, garden chemicals, tools, fertilisers, pots and ornaments....in other words, everything the keen, or novice, gardener requires!
Our garden centre and nursery at Ovington produces many of our own plants for our sales and includes:
- Beautiful Display Borders
- Wide selection of herbaceous plants
- Alpines
- Bedding plants
- Vegetable Plants
- Garden Sundries for a healthy garden
- ....and the Best Young Tomato Plants you will find anywhere (Ready from the end of March to May).
We are easy to find as we are situated between the village of Ovington and the A69 in a beautiful location overlooking the Tyne Valley. (Approximately 20 minute drive from Newcastle).

Here at Halls of Heddon garden centre and nursery we are a local Newcastle business but over the years we have gained a national, if not international reputation, for both dahlias and chrysanthemums. Visitors are always welcome to visit our flower fields during the flowering season and see our range for themselves. (flowering season approximately August to the first frosts).

Mon-Sat 9am - 5pm Sunday 10am - 5pm
Closed Christmas and New Year Bank Holidays
Our staff are always available to help and advise.
Delivery service available within 20 mile radius and we can deliver further afield on request.
