Before this game York had not won in their last 2 encounters and had hence lost their position as the league leaders. They faced Keighley at home and in a scrappy affair they emerged victorious with a 32-16 scoreline after good work from their pack.
The tries were scored by Will Dutton, Marcus Britland, Eddie Bradshaw (2), and Alex Nixon. While Ben Johnson's kicking display and a courageous defensive effort from winger Billy Cakaunitabua ensured a win for the York side.
York are now back up to 3rd in the league and look to push for what should be a tight promotion race.
