Whenever I travel up North on business, I always ensure that the Jug and Bottle is a port of call, with such a selection from Real Ales through to those bits and pieces that you can never find elsewhere ... if my wife is with me, we always spend twice as long 'browsing'!
Was visiting my sister who lives in Cliffe and decided to take a visit to your emporium as sis loves it. It was a treasure trove of unusual and non-massed products gifts and as a chef loved all the unusual bits that you sell. Will be coming up to see her before Christmas and a return visit is definately on the cards even if it is a 260 mile round trip Many thanks for this little treasure and your staff who were so helpful Kindest regards to you from Pat Jones
The Jug & Bottle Bubwith listed in Delicatessen A treasure trove of food, drink and gifts. So little have I seen elsewhere, so up market, yes it reminds me of some of the things I have seen in Harrods, London. In addition the great variety of freshly locally baked bread, cheeses, olives just so many things to tempt the pallet. There is so much packed into the shop one needs an hour to browse and realise just how extensive the range of goods that can be purchased here. Refill your jug of draught beer and take with you the organic vegetables beside the door. The range wines beers and spirits with very special ice cream and chocolates, all just so mouth watering. When I am in the area I will certainly call, again and again.
Lovely shop to have nearby, especially for those little treats on the weekend. Proper ale, proper cider. Lovely dips. Agghhh the cheese...yum. Fantastic setiing. Shops like this look after their customers with proper service. This place always makes me smile. Donʼt forget there is parking round the side if the road is busy.
A brilliant shop. Fantastic range and the quality is superb. I always make a point of popping in, whenever I am in town. You wonʼt be disappointed.
This is a brilliant, brillliant shop. I love it - and always make a point of visiting whenever Iʼm in town. The quality of the produce is top class.
We use the Jug and bottle on a very regular basis and have never been disappointed! The place itself is a very classy venue. (Doug can be very proud!) and the staff are obliging! All products we have tried; both liquid and from the deli, have been of a very high quality. There is always something there for a special occasion that is just a little bit different! We would recommend this is well worth a trip out to!
Just like the type of delicatessen your Mum would take you to when you were a kid - full of exquisite and unusual items to whet your palate. This establishment is a definite recommend! Almost in the Selfridgeʼs league, in Oxford Street.
If you want to while away an afternoon with the smell of cheese and fresh bread wafting up your nostrils then The Jug & Bottle is the place to go. Whether itʼs a gift for the Great Aunt you havenʼt seen for ages or something for the evening dinner party youʼll find what you are looking for amongst the treasures on show. Real Ale, beer, fine wine and snacks to die for; I defy you to leave The Jug & Bottle without a smile on your face!
Bubwithʼs finest asset! The Jug & Bottle always provides you with what you want (plus a bit extra!). The move to its new premises at the old school building has really enhanced the feel of the shop - fantastic products in fantastic surroundings. Lou and her staff are always on hand to guide you and recommend the latest treats! Nothing is too much trouble. And where else can you buy Timothy Taylorʼs Landlord on draftʽ Brilliant!
This deli is a true treasure where you can be sure to get all your fine wines and all those naughty things that tempt you. You are greeted by Louise who has a wealth of knowledge to help you find just what you are looking for, including that last minuet gift for that forgotten birthday. This deli is well worth a visit and you will be sure to return to sample the delights once again.
The Jug and Bottle has a great selection of wines and beers and a great selection of cheeses mainly what I go in for. Louise and staff are lovely and pleasant, will bend over backwards to help, always there to assist and have a chat, lovely atmosphere and got lots of lovely stuff in for everyone
We defy you to leave this treasure of a deli without spending more than you intended. Great wines, food and special treats to tempt everyone. The staff are very friendly and know their stuff. We propose to make Louise (a southerner) a "Honorary Yorkshire Lass" for services to the community. Try a bottle of McGuigan shiraz with a little slice of Yorkshire cheese - bliss.
