Limelight Dance and Drama in York is already known for its incredibly popular 'Street Funk classes; now we're offering musical theatre classes, drama workshops and private choreography lessons.

Limelight Dance & Drama - the York dance school that brought you the incredibly popular 'Street Funk' classes - is now offering you the chance to expand your dance horizons even further!

Situated in Millers Yard, York, Limelight Dance & Drama is already one of the city's leading dance schools, known for its 'Street Funk' dance classes that are open to children, teenagers and adults.

Now, we are opening our doors for people who are interested in learning more about musical theatre and drama, with workshops that are fun, lively, sociable and educational.

Plus, York dance school, Limelight Dance & Drama is now providing private choreography lessons for all ages and abilities:

About Laura

Laura is the York dance school's resident dance expert. Having started dancing at the age of three, she was professionally trained at the prestigious Newcastle Performance Academy before going on to get a degree in musical theatre at Northumbria University. She now teaches GCSE dance at York High School.

Laura is qualified in Jazz, Latin, Ballroom, Western Line and Disco. 

About Emma

With a degree in theatre studies, Emma specialises in both dance and drama. She has performed in various Shakespeare plays in the UK, and regularly holds dance and drama workshops in schools for under-16's.

Emma loves both drama and dance, and she has taught her own street dance classes at York St John University.

Street Funk Classes

Street Funk dance classes take place every Wednesday:

Kids: 4:30pm - 5:15pm

Teens: 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Adults: 8:00pm - 9:00pm
