Cordon Bleu trained Hilary Finney is head of Harmony House Cookery School and has 25 years in the catering industry. She has worked at some of the most prestigious eateries in York and the surrounding areas:

I went on a cookery course in June this year with a friend. We had a lovely day. Making Hilaryʼs recipes with her relaxed style resulted in some really lovely food. We both also learned a lot from Hilaryʼs hints and tips and knife skills. A busy morning cooking was followed by a lovely relaxed dinner enjoying the food we had produced. I went to day course especially for men- ʼOne of the Boysʼ. It was most successful with Hilary as our calm and confident teacher. We had a lovely day, plenty of hands on cooking lovely recipes and then a leisurely lunch trying everything we had cooked. We both loved all the hints and tips from Hilary. I have made all the recipes again at home successfully. I love recipes that work. We loved our day at Harmony House so much we are going along to Christmas nibbles cooking in November and treating another of our friends to a great day out.
