Barn Owls Day Nursery is situated in the idyllic hamlet of Frome St. Quintin, approximately half way between Yeovil and Dorchester, just off the A37 and offers day care on a full and part-time basis.
The setting is rural and unique being located on a working dairy farm. The farm and the nursery work comfortably alongside each other offering the children and their families a unique opportunity to combine excellent nursery care with traditional farming experiences.
The children are given the best in nursery education combining secure family groupings, wholesome, homemade meals using organic and locally produced ingredients whenever possible. Barn Owls Day Nursery incorporate the Forest School ethos of outdoor learning.
All the staff are qualified in early years childcare and are passionate about giving the children in their care a rich learning experience. Their teamwork is remarkable and encourages the types of behaviour, creativity and curiosity that they want the children to develop.

The children are actively involved in planting vegetables and maintaining their own vegetable garden which encourages healthy eating. There is also plenty of involvement in preparing food from chopping vegetables to making and decorating biscuits and cakes.
All of this is possible by keeping the child numbers low and the staff to child ratios high. There is a wonderful sense of community at Barn Owls Day Nursery which is why parents travel to us from all over Yeovil, Dorchester and the surrounding areas.
Within their first year of opening in 2004 Barn Owls Day Nursery won the Community Award at The Bath & West Show and achieved third place in the NDNA National Day Nursery of the Year competition.
