Chirk Castle is a magnificent 14th-century fortress of the Welsh Marches owned by the National Trust. It is the last Edward I Welsh castle which is still lived in today and is one of Wrexham’s premiere tourist attractions. Chirk Castle is open to the public April to September and runs a variety of seasonal events and is an ideal day out for all the family.

The Castle, completed in 1310, stands guard over the Ceiriog Valley and has fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. From the elegant and comfortable interior state rooms to the award winning gardens, Chirk Castle contains fine examples of interior and exterior architectural and decorative features which have been added over the centuries.
