I had to remind myself that the recession is still very much with us when I visited Moreton Park Garden Centre in Chirk today. The large car parks were almost full and every department inside the store was busy, and this on a dull Tuesday in October. The Christmas Decoration section was heavilly populated, can it really be so close to the Festive season already? There is an excellent aquatic section and, with it being half term, children were excitedly pointing out the exotic fish swimming in the display aquariums. Santa may well risk getting wet delivering Christas presents around Chirk!
Whilst in town I visited Daisy Chain florists and interrupted the creative floral flow of young Jess. Mum, Alison. was out delivering and Jess was sorting out new ideas for Christmas. There's that word again, I better start saving up.
