Held at the Merchant Taylors' Hall in London on 30th November, the Equity Release Awards recognises the excellence and achievements of Providers, Financial Advisers and supporting firms across the Equity Release sector.
With approximately 1,000 Financial Firms in the UK offering equity release advice, and with only approximately 20 companies having more than 10 employees, this award is testimony to the high quality of advice and customer service that Emerald Finance offer on a consistent basis to all it’s clients.
Equity Release products are based around providing finance for those aged over 60 years of age and normally in, or approaching retirement. The industry is now highly regulated by both the Financial Services Authority and the Safe Home Income Plan (SHIP). The products range from simple-interest only mortgages to more complex products where clients can raise as little as £10,000 and if desired draw down funds as they need them, or even use the product to move home or to give an early inheritance to help children or grandchildren get on the property ladder. With many struggling in retirement in the current economy this is an expanding market where people can release funds from their homes if needed regardless of income.
