St. Richard's Hospice is a charitable organisation, providing care for those in Worcester and South Worcestershire suffering from cancer and other lie-threatening illnesses.
Who are we?
Established in 1984 and now residing in a new facility in Worcester, St. Richard's Hospice is a local, Worcestershire charity, and one of almost 200 throughout the county caring for people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Our team of palliative care specialists support over 1,500 patients and families every year. There are no costs for any of the services we provide to patients and families. This is made possible due to charitable donations from our generous donors and supporters.
How are we funded?
As an independent charity St. Richard's Hospice relies mainly on voluntary donations to enable it to continue to provide its services to patients and families. These donations include gifts of money, gifts in kind, events, legacies and grants. We also benefit from charitable donations and sponsorship from local companies - payroll giving, employee fundraising, donations from organisations and donations in memoriam. St. Richard's Hospice also have a team dedicated to fundraising who organise regular events and assist with shops and street collections.
Another way we raise income is through our 12 charity shops based in Worcester and throughout Worcestershire, which include:

2 furniture shops, selling furniture and electrical items

A book shop, with approximately 15,000 books on show

9 general charity shops, offering a wide range of men's and women's clothing and quality bric-a-brac.
These charity shops are supported by over 300 volunteers.
