Ian Henery, who was appointed on National Poetry Day, has written a poem called "Red Paper Poppies of Remembrance" (available to view online https://www.wcrfm.com/blogs/ianhenery/post/red-paper-poppies-ofremembrance/) in memory of those who leave never to return and for those who return but are never the same.

"We remember," said Ian Henery.  "A poppy in tribute to all the brave veterans who risked their lives in the past and the present so we might have a future".
