Have you remembered - it's Father's Day on June 17th?

Lest you forget, there's just a few weeks to go now to Father's Day in Wolverhampton. Here at 'thebestof' we obviously plan these things early (!) so we thought it might help if we were to share a few ideas for you to treat you dear old Dad when the special day arrives.

So lets start with a meal out! In and around Wolverhampton, you are spoilt for choice - so many fantastic restaurants all around the city - here's a couple of our favourites:

Table Table Restaurants are renowned for traditional British pub-food and a fantastic atmosphere. You’ll find a great menu selection at affordable prices all served up in a friendly, relaxed environment at the two Table Table restaurants in Wolverhampton - The Bluebrick in Wolverhampton City Centre and Moseley Park close to junction 2 of the M54 north of the city. Both have ample free parking and lots of space inside for families to dine together - but both are sure to be popular with dads (and mums & kids) so you should book soon to be sure of a table.

For something special, there’s the excellent Horizons Restaurant at Wolverhampton Racecourse. Why not treat Dad to a day at the races followed by a sumptuous meal in this fantastic restaurant overlooking the racetrack? There's an afternoon racing fixture planned for Monday 18th - wouldn't that be a great combination?

If Dad's a fan on Indian Food we've got two of the best Indian Restaurants around

For an unusual (but very thoughtful) gift that shows how much you care, TTC Automotive run fantastic Driver Safety Awareness courses that are aimed at drivers of all ages and abilities (don't worry - you aren't implying your dad's a bad driver). The course teaches proactive driving strategies that can improve safety and reduce overall running costs - so everyone gains! The courses are open to everyone (perhaps you should go along with dad - never know what you might learn) and you get free refreshments (the cakes are both plentiful and delicious!).

Does Dad like making music? Lots of people regret not learning to play an instrument as they grow older - is your dad one of them? For a great choice of instruments and top muscial tuition, Music 2000 is a must visit shop in Bradmore and a specialist musical tuition facility close by. Why not treat Dad to some music lessons and /or a new drum kit (lots of aging rockers in Wolverhampton so they say!).

And if bit of culture is needed to balance the family priorities, how about a trip to the theatre? There's always a packed programme of fantastic shows and plays to see at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre - click on the link for details:

or as an alternative, why not a day out at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, or one of the many local galleries / museums. You really are spoilt for choice – click on the link for more details:
