If you are looking for a Squash/Racketball Club in Woking that’s not just there to make money, then look no further than Woking Squash Rackets Club, a non-profit making members club, run by the members for the members.

The club has players of all abilities, and its current membership includes beginners and county players.  With three squash courts, a bar, weekly club nights and special events during the season, there’s always plenty on offer for players of all abilities.  In addition, members are offered the chance to qualify for one of the thirteen teams that are entered each year in the Surrey Leagues.

Membership

After paying an initial joining fee, membership is available on an annual basis. Members pay a one-off annual payment or can pay by monthly standing order.

Membership fees vary according to age (adult/young adult/child) and substantial discounts are available for multiple members living at the same address.  Annual renewal is offered at a discounted rate if paid promptly.

There are no further booking or court fees and booking one of the numerous 45 minute court sessions couldn’t be easier.  Courts can be booked up to eight days in advance via an online booking system from home or on the move.  A computer terminal is available at the club for anyone without access to a computer or smartphone.

You can even bring the occasional guest along for a game; guests can play squash or racketball with a member for a visitor’s fee of £3 per session (maximum of four times per year).

Coaching

Squash Coaching lessons are available with Paul Reilly, a Level 3 qualified Coach and Surrey Cup Player.  Paul offers:

  • Individual or group coaching - all levels welcome
  • Excellent rates for WSRC members, and special offers available
  • FREE coaching for junior members (every Sunday 12.30-3.30pm)

Further details are available via the website.

Club Nights – every Thursday from 7.45pm

You don’t need a playing partner; simply turn up and play the next available player regardless of their standard.  Sessions last for 20 minutes (15 if busy) to ensure that everyone has a reasonable time on court, while making time for a chat at the bar between and after their game(s).
