The Independent candidate

There is an election in Windsor on 24 July 2014. Find out more about Wisdom Da Costa, the Independent candidate being sponsored by the West Windsor Residents Association.

Following the untimely death of Independent Councillor Cynthia Endacott in May 2014, a by election has been called for 24 July 2014 to replace Cllr Endacott in Clewer North Ward of Windsor.

The West Windsor Residents Association will be sponsoring their Chairman, WISDOM DA COSTA, to be the INDEPENDENT candidate to replace Cynthia Endacott.

Wisdom is in the unique position as Chairman of the West Windsor Residents Association to understand the issues that fellow residents are facing.

Wisdom has spoken out against dubious planning decisions, helped get West Windsor included back in the influential Windsor Neighbourhood Plan group and has launched the WWRA website at www.wwra.org.uk

What others say about Wisdom

Existing Clewer North Councillors, Cllrs Fido & Penfold, are convinced that, if elected, Wisdom will quickly fit into the role left vacant by the sad death of Cllr Cynthia Endacott.

Former WWRA Chairman, John Holdstock, says, “Wisdom has a very good understanding of local issues, and is therefore eminently qualified to represent local residents as our Councillor.

It is important that we retain an independent voice on the Council rather than be represented by a politician whose first loyalty is to their party.

I strongly recommend that you vote for Wisdom at the forthcoming election, so that he may carry on Cynthia's sterling work as our INDEPENDENT Councillor.

WWRA Committee member Mike Moss said, “Wisdom has demonstrated a real concern for our area and backed this up with energy, enthusiasm and a natural ability to engage people and get the best from them. He will make a great choice as one of our Independent councillors.  He has my vote!

What Wisdom says

“Cynthia Endacott was a highly regarded, and well-loved councillor, who helped thousands of people in Clewer North, Dedworth, and West Windsor over nearly 20 years.

She is a tough act to follow, but I will try and follow her lead, and continue to progress the legacy that she has created.

The other Independent councillors and I stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow residents, to listen to their stories, to represent their views, to hold the Conservatives accountable for questionable decisions, and help Windsorians develop the town through initiatives like the Windsor Neighbourhood Plan.

I will work with local people, local groups, local businesses, the Royal Borough, and other local councillors to develop a more cohesive, caring community that benefits all, and not just the few.

I will talk. Ask questions. Talk again. Bang the local drum. Report back on a blog on the WWRA’s local portal at www.wwra.org.uk, provide information via other local websites like The Best of Dedworth and The Best of Windsor."
