It's Easy to Buy Local Day 3: Monday 5 May

The Windsor Farm Shop - '200 yards from Field to Fork'

Bertie throroughly enjoyed himself at the Windsor Farm Shop today - and he was amazed at the displays and range of local food and drink! It's a great place to buy your local produce - Darren told me 'the meat is as local as you can get it as it's only 200 yards from field to fork'.

There's a huge array of fresh bread and a delicious choice of preserves, cheeses and more. Great for a picnic.

Plus, I was thinking there were some great present ideas here such as the Windsor Farm Shop Wild Strawberry and Damson liqueurs and the tins of Windsor Farm Shop Ceylon tea. Or a treat for me of course.

We bought steak, some fantastic stilton stuffed mushrooms and chilli potatoes for tea and had a great chat with the wonderful staff.

Wonderful restaurant and Cafe too

We decided to treat ourselves by sitting in the sun outside their cafe to enjoy a Vanilla Cream Slice and a Cappucino. As you can see Bertie got in on this...
