East Berkshire College and Berkshire Media Group have teamed up again to launch a county-wide search to find Berkshire’s Best Young Chef 2014.

With exclusive prizes on offer (worth over £1,000) and a chance to cook for some of the UK’s top chefs, this competition is a great opportunity for young people to get their cooking skills noticed.

This masterchef-style contest is open to anyone aged 12-19 living in Berkshire.

No professional experience is necessary

In the first stage of the competition, entrants are asked to create their own dish - a starter, main course or dessert.

Those who make it through to the final will take part in a live cook-off at Langley College, which will be judged by experts including well-known two Michelin-star chef and regular on BBC’s Great British Menu, Tom Kerridge, and award-winning pastry chef Will Torrent.

Please find attached a poster regarding the competition - if you have anywhere to display this please print it out and display it!!

Full details on how to enter the competition can be found at http://www.eastberks.ac.uk/bestchef
