4 Paws Veterinary Centre opened in South Wimbledon in 2001 with the aim of providing our clients and their pets with traditional values of service and pet care coupled with all the modern aspects of veterinary medicine.
The veterinary centre is an owner run surgery, providing all aspects of routine small animal veterinary work, including annual vaccinations with health check, and all forms of pet advice and care such as flea and worm control, nutrition, neutering and dental work.
Our vets are experienced in the Pet Passport Scheme and also offer advice and handling the export of your pet dogs or cats.
The Veterinary Centre owners have constantly developed and invested in the centre to keep it at the forefront of first opinion centres in London.
The surgery is equipped with all the diagnostic and surgical tools of a modern veterinary practice:
- X-ray facilities
- Ultrasound
- ECG
- Diathermy / electrosurgery
- On site laboratory for routine blood and urine tests and microscopy
- Operating facilities
- Isoflurane anaesthesia
- Acupuncture, physiotherapy and dermatology referrals are seen at the surgery

The Veterinary Centre staff
4 Paws Veterinary Centre has a full complement of Senior Vets, Associate Vets, and three of the best veterinary nurses to look after your pet when they are staying with us. Together with our excellent receptionists all our staff aim to make you and your pet feel at home from your first contact with the Centre to final discharge after treatment or surgery.
We pride ourselves on our attention to service - you can always be assured of seeing familiar faces when you visit us. Visit our website through the link above to read more about our vets and staff.
Our nurses also run free pet weight clinics and flea checks. If you have any queries then feel free to give them a call.
Veterinary Centre opening hours
The Veterinary Centre is open throughout the day for enquiries, repeat prescriptions and over the counter sales of such essentials as foods, worm and flea treatments.
Vet Consultations are by appointment only at the following times:
Monday to Friday: 8.30 - 10.30am
2.30 - 3.30pm
(emergencies only)
4.30 - 6.30pm
Saturday: 9.00 - 12.00pm
For your convenience we provide 2 free parking bays next to the surgery
4 PAWS and the environment
We were the first veterinary surgery to be recognised as carbon neutral in January 2006! We make a monthly donation to the World Land Trust to purchase rainforest to offset our carbon emissions and we're proactive in recycling waste materials within the practice
Home visits
We believe a Home Visit service is an important feature of veterinary life as many animals don't travel well and can get stressed, or clients may find it difficult to attend the Veterinary Centre.
We can visit you in our specially adapted Pet Ambulance to conduct routine consultations. If your pet needs more specialised treatment then we can arrange transport back to the Veterinary Centre.
Appointments can be booked 48 hours in advance, and in cases of emergency we will endeavour to reach you as soon as is possible. Call us for more information.

I have been with this vet for years & they are simply the best. Since Dane took over the surgery it is exceptional, the vet is incredibly thorough & well-informed not only does he think of the animal he also thinks of the owner as well. You know that you are in good hands when the vet makes you feel right at ease. The surgery has an exceptional team of staff. The front line staff are Kaye, Penny & Tracey, they are always polite, considerate & caring. Jenny the practice nurse and the vets themselves. They actually care about every animal that comes into the surgery & quickly develop a personal relationship with their clients. I currently have six cats of various ages; to be honest I would not take them anywhere else. The service you get from the surgery is of an exceptionally high standard. You as a pet owner feel supported & you know when leaving your animal with them they are in safe hands. If you could give âMichelin starsâ for care & Service this surgery would get 10/10
Great care! Experienced vets and really caring and friendly staff. (I noted a nomination being made for best vet surgery 2011 humbly inconspiciously placed in the surgery. Well deserved!) Thanks Dane and staff for looking after us so well.
