Andrew Squires move to a new studio in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland has inspired this new series of paintings. Now living and working on the edge of the elemental and geological landscape has brought a powerful reminder of the forces that are much bigger than ourselves. While Andrew remains faithful to his familiar iconic images in colourful landscapes, his new series includes more ambiguous abstracted pieces drawn from the textures and forms of the Highland landscape., as he continues with the process of exploration and mapping the land that surrounds his studio. The exhibition is supporting the World Land Trust. TV and Radio Personality David Hamilton, will be at the opening to Auction a painting, generously donated by the artists. All proceeds from this sale will be given to the WLT.
