A local designer and illustrator has given her corporate identity a new look and feel with the help of some 1970s wallpaper!

Becky of Becky Blake Graphic Design took her inspiration from the retro wallpaper that used to hang in her uncle’s living room when she was a child.

Becky has a passion for 1970s wallpaper and remembers the design vividly. The four circle pattern is reminiscent of the two Bs in her name and she picked out the bright colours of the wallpaper to reflect the positive elements of her personality.

“My uncle, Karl Dench, was a fantastic illustrator and we would sit for hours while he taught me to draw”, Becky says. “He inspired me to become an illustrator – so it feels right that his wallpaper should be the inspiration for my new logo.”

Karl sadly died of meningitis at the age of 42, so the logo is also a strong visual link to Becky’s memories of her uncle.

The new look and feel comes as Becky launches her new website www.beckyblake.co.uk and introduces some new services for her clients. “I can now offer web design and marketing in one cost-effective package,” says Becky.

Becky is a talented graphic designer and produces marketing collateral, web design and corporate identities for all kinds of small to medium businesses.
